Fire damages house on Lumpkin Street

A single-family house fire Wednesday morning at 705 Lumpkin St. caused an estimated loss worth $60,000 but resulted in no injuries, according to a report from the Dalton Fire Department.

The time of the incident was 9:02 a.m. The fire originated in the kitchen. There was fire and heat damage in the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the house. There was also some water damage.
