Atticus Allen Sosebee

Mr. Atticus Allen Sosebee, 101, of Chatsworth, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at his residence. He was born in Union County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Allen and Callie Rady Jane Seabolt Sosebee; brothers, Virgil Sosebee, Edward Sosebee, Noel Sosebee, Reno Sosebee, Vernon Sosebee, Roy Sosebee, Oliver Sosebee and Johnny Sosebee; sisters, Helen Castleberry and Eulalar Defore.

Survivors include his wife of 77 years, Hester Hettie McKeehan Sosebee of Chatsworth; sons- and daughters-in-law Kenneth and Jo Sosebee of Chatsworth, and Lamar and Katie Sosebee of Resaca; daughters- and sons-in-law Eloise and Ken Looney of Woodstock, Shelby and Jerry Mashburn, and Barbara Jackson, all of Chatsworth; grandchildren Byron Sosebee, Allen Sosebee, Ted Welch, Fred Welch, Michael Looney, Crystal Hightower, Evelyn Wright, Rebekah Sosebee and Felicia Sosebee; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Bessie Rich; and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Payne and the Rev. Brandon Herndon officiating. Interment will follow in the Faith Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.
