LAWRENCEVILLE — Six men have been arrested for the rape and molestation of a 12-year-old girl, Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department and FBI officials said.

Wilbur Caldwell, a Duluth man who previously pleaded guilty to charges of creating child pornography allegedly posted advertisements on a Web site offering to arrange sex with an 18-year-old girl, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Stacey Kelley.

“Information indicates that Caldwell was facilitating these meetings with the minor child,” said FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett. Caldwell allegedly was a family friend of the victim.

Kelley said once the men arrived it was obvious the girl was not 18 but the men had sex with her anyway.

The men arrested were: George Disabato, 52, of Grayson; Peter Janoe, 24, of Dunwoody; Charles Jundt Jr., 47, of Norcross; Timothy Whitney, 34, of Stockbridge; Brenton Smith, 22, of Atlanta; and Ronald Bibb, 36, of Lawrenceville.

The men were charged with statutory rape, aggravated child molestation and aggravated battery.

Caldwell pleaded guilty June 29 to a federal count of manufacturing child pornography. He is expected to be sentenced Sept. 7.
