Odell Tankersley Yaeger

Odell Tankersley Yaeger, 88, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at Chatsworth Health Care Center.

Mrs. Yaeger was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford and Dora Tankersley; and a daughter, Cleo Crook.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was employed at the U.S. Café as a waitress for 42 years.

Survivors include one daughter; Norma Jean Fisher of Arizona; one son, Jim Crook of Tunnel Hill; one brother, Hoover Tankersley of Ellijay; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The funeral is Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Gentry officiating.

Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Gilmer, County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 until 9 p.m.
