No one qualifies on first day for Cohutta election; two seats on council are up this year

No one qualified on Wednesday in Cohutta for the November Town Council elections, the second day of qualifying. No one qualified on Monday, either.

The council seats held by J. Shane Kornberg and Shelia Rose are up for election.

Qualifying concludes on Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the office of the city clerk in the Town Hall. There is a $75 qualifying fee.

Qualifying was last week in Dalton, Tunnel Hill, Varnell, Chatsworth and Eton.
