“God will not punish you for something not in the Bible. Abortion is not forbidden. If God meant abortion to be called murder he had 788,280 words in the King James Bible to say so but didn’t. God knows what he wrote in the Bible. I wish you did.”

“Does no one understand that Trump speaks in hyperbole, metaphors and exaggerations? This is not the same as lying. Just because Trump does not speak in generalities and safe ‘politician speak,’ his opposition continually claims he is lying. Get over yourself. Trump grew up on New York City construction sites and boardrooms. This is how he has spoken his entire life and you cannot expect him to suddenly change, just because it may hurt your poor little feelings. Ignore how he speaks and understand what he is actually saying and what he accomplishes. Trump’s blunt to the point speaking style is a reason that he is getting things done. Does he say stupid things at times, yes. Do I care, no!”

“Regarding the fatal accident on Reed Road. I have traveled Reed Road several times a week for close to 25 years. In that time I have witnessed several wrecks at the intersection of Reed and Poplar Springs. I have witnessed three wrecks occur where cars from Poplar Springs pulled into the path of oncoming traffic. In each case the person who pulled out thought that the flashing light was a four-way stop, and it was their turn to go. The intersection needs to be reevaluated and changed to a four-way stop.”

“To the county commissioners: When are you going to put ongoing costs for road maintenance and sheriff’s vehicles back in the regular budget? You are suffering from a SPLOST addiction. Thank goodness the $100 million SPLOST failed. That forced you to make a rational decision for the taxpayers by leasing the space in the Wells Fargo building. Why, exactly, was that not your first choice versus spending $34 million on buildings?”

“After reading the article on Speaker Ralston, he is just another politician abusing his position and taking advantage of the public.”

“I’m OK with Hollywood leaving Georgia. My principles cannot be held hostage by celebrities who exhibit nothing but disgust at people who live here and only set foot in Georgia when they’re paid to.”

“It sure looks like there are a few right-wing people locally positioning themselves to run for office. Why not just come out and say it? That would be a good start towards ‘transparency.'”

“I understand that our commissioners are part time, at best, and cannot be expected to have a good grasp on how the county should be run. Do we not have full-time employees, at the highest levels, that do understand? If so, why do the commissioners not listen to them, or better yet, to their constituents?”
