Roger Dell Crider

Mr. Roger Dell Crider, 57, of Dalton, departed this life Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2007, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Born in Kokomo, Ind., on March 8, 1950, he was a son of Mattie Sue Ketchum Crider and the late Ralph Crider. Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wayman Crider and James Crider. Prior to his death, he was employed at Mohawk Industries’ Aladdin Plant.

Mr. Crider is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Dillard Crider of the residence; son, Chris Crider of Dalton; daughters, Kim Arnold of Dalton and April Campbell of Portage, Ind.; his mother, Mattie Sue Crider of Resaca; stepsons, Greg Moreland and his wife Tammy of Clarksville, Tenn., and Tim Moreland of Dalton; stepdaughters, Rose and her husband Homer Adams of Tifton, and Leigh Moreland of Birmingham, Ala.; sisters, Christine Maddox of Resaca, and Helen McGhee of Chatsworth; brothers, Randall Crider of Hill City, and Gary Crider of Dalton; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. W.E. Forgaty and the Rev. Ricky Kisor officiating.

The family will receive friends today after 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Roger’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 300 W. Emery St., Suite 106, Dalton, GA 30720.
