Military encounter with UFO revealed in 2015 footage

Newly-released video of a mysterious object streaking over the Atlantic Ocean shows the Pentagon needs to take UFOs seriously, a researcher says. The sensational two-minute clip captured by a camera aboard a US Navy F/A 18 jet flying at 25,000 feet wowed military personnel. “What is that thing?” shouted the pilot in the video posted online by the To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science, a private research company. “Oh my gosh dude!” exclaimed the jet’s weapons systems officer. — Fox News

Park space honoring Confederacy rededicated to Harriet Tubman in Baltimore

More than six months after a statue of Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson was removed from a Baltimore park, about 200 residents and elected officials gathered to rededicate the space to abolitionist and Underground Railroad conductor Harriet Tubman. The Saturday ceremony in Wyman Park Dell, on the 105th anniversary of Tubman’s death, happened only a few feet from the bare pedestal where a large, bronze statue of Lee and Jackson riding horses once stood. The space will now be called Harriet Tubman Grove. — Fox New

Elizabeth Warren refuses DNA test to prove American Indian heritage

Sen. Elizabeth Warren batted down calls for her to take a DNA test to prove her American Indian heritage in an interview that aired Sunday. “I know who I am. And never used it for anything. Never got any benefit from it anywhere,” Warren said of her ancestry on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” The Massachusetts Democrat has been under increased pressure to provide evidence of her Native American roots, with President Trump repeatedly mocking her as “Pocahontas” as recently as Saturday. — New York Post

Missouri is a destination wedding spot — for 15-year-old brides

In the dark before sunrise, high school sophomore Brittany Koerselman, belly bulging, seven months pregnant and feeling like a cow, tucked herself into the borrowed white prom dress that would be her wedding gown. The Iowa teen didn’t want to be a child bride. But the cops were coming. She was 15, not even old enough to drive on her own. Jeremie Rook, her boyfriend and the father of her baby, was 21. It didn’t matter how “infatuatedly in love” she was then with everything about Jeremie — his long chocolate hair, his bad-boy attitude, tongue stud and 28 tattoos. In Iowa, a 21-year-old having sex with a 15-year-old is statutory rape. The evidence was alive in her womb. — Kansas City Star

Heart attack sufferers more likely to survive if doctor is away, study says 

If you are recovering from cardiac arrest, doctors are essential to the healing process, right? According to a new report, you’re more likely to survive if your cardiologist is away. To do so, they examined the 30-day survival rate of Medicare heart attack sufferers admitted to the hospital while their doctors were at the five-day Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics meeting. —The Atlanta Journcal-Constitution
