Whitfield GOP to meet

The Whitfield County Republican Party meets tonight at 7 at the Mack Gaston Community Center in Dalton. The topic is “Who is your favorite candidate?”

Flags available to honor vets

The city of Varnell will be displaying American flags during upcoming national holidays at the front of City Hall at 1025 Tunnel Hill Varnell Road. Residents of Varnell may purchase a flag for a loved one who was a veteran of the military.   

The cost is $70 per flag which covers the cost of the flag set and name badge that will be attached to the flag pole and stored at City Hall.

Regional group to meet

The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission’s Area Agency on Aging will hold its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at the Thornton Recreation Center, 102 N. Floyd Park Road in Rome (across from Armuchee High School). The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. The meeting is open to the public.
