Michael Daniel Kellett

Mr. Michael D. Kellett, 71, of Duluth, passed away Jan. 14, 2016, in Gwinnett Medical Center, Duluth.

He was born Dec. 6, 1944, was a 1963 graduate of Dalton High School, attended Georgia State University and was retired from Atlanta Flooring and Design in Duluth. He was a cornea donor.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Eugene Kellett of Summervile and Lucille Deal Kellett of Dalton.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Guinn Kellett of Duluth; sons (and daugther-in-law), Mike Kellett (Lisa) of Vancouver, Canada, and Paxton Kellett of Bainbridge; and a daughter, Katie Phillips of Hosford, Fla., two stepdaughters, Angela Luglan of Raleigh, N.C., and Elizabeth Turner of Villa Rica; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister, Eugenia Kellett Parrott (DeForrest) of Dalton; nephew, Jeff T. Parrott (Allison) and niece Suzanne Dowait (Stan) of Dalton.

Michael and his dog Lucy were the closest of buddies.

A memorial service will be Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. at Lake Berkeley Chapel, 4043 Berkeley Lake Road, Berkeley Lake, Ga.
