Mrs. Mildred Parson, 83, of Dalton, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis E. Parson; and a son, Buddy Parson.

Mrs. Parson is survived by her children, Sandy and Sherry Parson and Peggi and Michael Johns, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Julie and Danny Roach of Cohutta, Tony and Lori Johns, Steve and Sabrina Parson, Chris Parson and Wendy and Kevin Buttrey, all of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Andrew, Tucker, Anna, Mary Lee, Luke, Haley Conner and Devon. Several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Services are Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Ricky Studdard officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Lula.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m.
