Tom Bailey is a true “problem-solver,” according to Pamela Cudd, CEO of City of Refuge Dalton.

“Tom is a retired engineer with an impressive array of knowledge and skills, and he has been instrumental in keeping our facility running smoothly,” Cudd said.

City of Refuge Dalton provides services to low-income families, including transitional housing, a food pantry, a clothing store, education programs for both children and adults, hot meals and a program that delivers food to senior citizens at their home.

“Over the course of his volunteer work, Tom has taken on maintenance and repair tasks that often seemed unsolvable,” said Cudd. “He has a unique ability to troubleshoot and fix issues that others couldn’t figure out, consistently providing valuable solutions to some of our most complex challenges. His expertise has been especially critical in salvaging and restoring some of the historic mechanical systems in our facility, which has saved us on numerous occasions.”

Cudd said Bailey’s “dedication and willingness to tackle any problem have made him an indispensable part of our team.”
