Kim Le, executive assistant at Dalton’s Providence Ministries, plays a key role in the organization’s operations, according to Providence Head of Development Brian Croft.

Headquartered at 711 S. Hamilton St. in Dalton, Providence Ministries provides shelter for men, women and children; serves meals to the homeless; provides free Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to the community; and offers addiction recovery programs for those who are troubled by alcohol and drugs. It also operates several thrift stores that sell inexpensive items ranging from clothes to toys to household items to raise funds for its mission.

“Kim has been with Providence Ministries for nearly four years and plays a big role in our daily administration and development,” Croft said.

Le attended schools in the Dalton Public Schools system and is a graduate of Dalton State College with a degree in business. She attends a local Vietnamese Baptist church and has a fourth-degree black belt in taekwondo.

“In Kim’s free time, she enjoys volunteering at Seo’s Martial Arts, working with new students and young children, and truly has a heart for the children, and the children seem to love her,” Croft said.

For her efforts to help Providence Ministries help those in need, the Dalton Daily Citizen names Kim Le Citizen of the Week.
