Creative Arts Guild offering classes for children

Registration for many classes for children is open and ongoing at the Creative Arts Guild.

Music Play Tuesdays

A group music class by Guild Music Instructor Anna Faith. Children will learn through activities such as using rhythm instruments, singing, dancing, moving with music and working with others in making sounds together. 2-year-old class: Tuesdays from 10:30 to 11 a.m.; 3-4-year-old class: Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m.

Dance

3- and 4-year-old dance class: In an atmosphere of fun, this class is designed to introduce the young student to the world of dance. While teaching ballet basics, the class is formatted in a creative way to hold the dancer’s attention and keep him or her interested. Children develop an awareness of music and rhythm and learn to use their bodies and imaginations.

Creative Movement 3-year-old class: Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7 p.m.; Creative Movement 3+ and 4-year-old class: Thursdays from 1 to 1:45 p.m.; Primary 1, 4-year-old class: Mondays from 6 to 6:45 p.m.

Culinary

Family Pi Night (3.141616): If you like pi, the number or the food, join the Guild for National Pi Day as the Guild creates pizzas and a dessert pie to take home and enjoy with the family. This class is for kids ages 6-17 plus a favorite adult of their choice. The class is Friday, March 14, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Kids Baking “Egg” stravaganza: Spring will be here in no time and young bakers will get to create a treat to celebrate the season. Ages 6-10. Wednesday, April 9, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Visual arts

Art Tots: In this class, petite Picassos and the adult of their choice will get creative (and messy). This class is very much about the process and sparking the imagination and less concerned about a finished product. Supplies included in the price. For 18 months to 4 years old. Mondays from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m.
