Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful’s Yard of the Month for April 2025 went to Eddie and Lu Granillo of Honeysuckle Lane. This yard is a paradise for gardeners and golfers alike! Check out the whimsical Easter tree, their setup to practice their golfing game, and the amazing variety of species throughout the yard.
Eddie spends much of his time in the garden planting a wider variety of trees than we’ve ever seen in one yard, trying to keep his plants safe from deer, and tending to all of the plants. Just some of the species we got to check out include a Hot Blond Japanese Maple (yes, that’s its real name!), Summer Fun Dogwood, Bloodgood Japanese Maple, Fall Fiesta Maple, Prairifire Crabapple, Sunbow Native Azalea, Spice Girl, Weeping Cherry, and the Rising Sun Redbud.
The couple have been in the home for about five years and have made significant strides in creating plant diversity in their yard, planning for a yard that has color through all the seasons, and growing a great tree canopy.
