Mrs. Mary Sue Huffines, 66, of Eton, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008, at her residence.

Mary Sue was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Chatsworth where she taught Sunday school for 40-plus years. She was an employee of the U. S. Postal Service for 33 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Mealer; mother, Grace Mealer, and a sister, Bobbie Mealer.

Survivors include her husband, Cullie Huffines of Eton; daughter and son-in-law, Kristal and Kenneth Carr of Supply, N.C.; a son, Kevin Lamar Huffines of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Kaleb Lamar Huffines, Kirk Alex Leonard and Kacey Mark Leonard; a sister, Jerldine “Jean” Venice Foxx of Dalton; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Services are today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Ratcliff officiating.

Burial will be in the Eton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home until the funeral hour today.

Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
