Area Arrests for Oct. 3

• Gregory Lynn Arnold Sr., 48, 44 Dunn St., Crandall, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with possession of methamphetamine and two counts of probation violation.

• Sylvia Lynn Brown, 47, 333-B W. Nance Springs Road, Resaca, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with failure to drive within a single lane, DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

• Billy Mitchell Cochran, 31, 548 Red Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with a child support violation and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Virgil Clayton Owens, 21, 528 Foster Road, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault.

• Javier Cervantes Saavedra, 30, 1427 Bay Drive, Dalton, was charged Thursday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with identity theft.
