Sybil Felker Poteet

Sybil Felker Poteet, age 86, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 at 1:30 a.m. at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Calvin and Hudia Felker; brother, J.C. Felker and granddaughter, Java Poteet. She was a member of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Willard Poteet, of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Reba and Terry Crump of Calhoun; son, Jesse W. Poteet of Dalton; sister, Floy Head of Dalton; grandchildren, Jade Poteet of Dalton, Nikki Ralston and Tonya Prather of Calhoun; nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Walker and the Rev. Crafton Dover officiating.

Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mitchel Ralston, Landon Ralston, Shawn Prather, Chris Davidson, Michael Patterson and James Smith. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
