Ruby Hazel Faulkner

Ms. Ruby Hazel Faulkner, 81, of Cohutta departed this life Monday night, Nov. 10, 2008, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Ms. Faulkner was born May 9, 1927, in Campbell County, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Henry Brandenburg and Bannie Wilburn Brandenburg. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her three sons, Jerry Faulkner, Larry Faulkner, and Charles Faulkner.

She was retired from Coronet Industries.

Ms. Faulkner is survived by her daughters, Alice (Richard) Denton of Rocky Face, Judy (Chuck) Fleming of Cohutta; grandchildren, Teresa Brown, Joe Brown, Dawn and Jessica Faulkner, Ruby Ellen Williamson, Heidi Beard, Susanna Maroon, Jason McKiddy, Jeremy McKiddy, Chris McKiddy, Thomas Faulkner, and Sammy Fairbanks; sisters, Shirley Hyden of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Jewell Campbell of Dayton, Ohio, Mary Hurt and Sarah Fishback both of Chattanooga; brothers, Bliss Brandenburg of East Ridge, Tenn., and Jimmy Brandenburg of Lafollette, Tenn.; a number of great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Ruby Hazel Faulkner are Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Claude McKiddy officiating. She will be laid to rest at Hall’s Cemetery in Campbell County, Tennessee, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home Wednesday after 5 p.m.
