Marcia Collins Nix

Marcia Collins Nix, 55, of Rocky Face, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Collins; grandparents, Walt and Gertrude Collins and Carl and Della Roach.

She was a member of Rock Bridge Community Church.

Survivors include her husband, Claude Nix of the residence; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Jim English of Rocky Face; two sons, Bradley and Patrick Nix, both of Rocky Face; parents, J.W. and Mary Dell Collins of Rocky Face; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Brenda Collins of Rocky Face; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claude Sr. and Hazel Nix; special friends, Teresa Hensley, Diane Robertson and Jean Kirk; nieces and nephews.

The funeral is Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Evans officiating.

Burial will be in Dunagan Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday after 5 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hamilton Hospice, 1209 Memorial Drive, Dalton, GA 30720.
