James Hayden Millholland

Mr. James Hayden Millholland, 80, of Dalton, Ga., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008. Born in Fannin County, Ga., he was the son of the late Sherman and Arvie Millholland Galloway. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Millholland, of Dalton, Ga.; son, Haden Lee Millholland of Dalton, Ga.; daughters, Karen Pendergrass of Pendergrass, Ga., Kathy Shaniver of Wauchula, Fla., Beverly Robinson of Romeo, Mich., and Katie Abercrombie of Winchester, Texas; brother, Johnny Millholland of Copperhill, Tenn.; sister, Margie Henson of Old Fort, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 4 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge, Ga., with the Rev. David Stanley and the Rev. Donald Cantrell officiating.

The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Todd Pack, Travis Huffman, Brian Jones, Ken Higdon, Bill Higdon and Allen Henson. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with full military honors provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
