A new shopping center under construction at 2410 Cleveland Highway will feature several well-known eateries, retail clothing and a branch store of the Atlanta Farmers’ Market.

“We’re looking to open in January or February of 2009, weather permitting, and will have a grand opening by March,” said Catalina Paramo, who will manage Dalton Shopping Center. “We’ve had conversations with several brand-name retailers and restaurants who are willing to come.”

Surrounding the Dalton Farmers’ Market will be a physician’s office called Dalton Medical Center, an event planning store called Banquet Hall, New Avenue retail store, a Mexican restaurant, and standards such as Subway, Johnny’s Pizza, Baskin-Robbins and Firehouse Subs.

There will be approximately 19 to 25 businesses in the new shopping center, said Paramo. Dalton Shopping Center will be managed by Compass Property Management (compassmt.com), a bi-lingual full service real estate company, according to the Web site. The company manages, leases and develops properties in the United States and Latin America, and is “well established in Georgia and the southeast.”
