Miss Barbara Grace Dyer, 67, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, June 11, 2008 at the local hospital.

Miss Dyer was born February 15, 1941 in Whitfield County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Clee Dyer and her mother, Virgie Swift Huggins, brothers, Donald Dyer, Wesley Dyer and a sisters, Pearlie Mae Teasley and Sandra Huggins. She was a member of the Dogwood Valley Baptist Church.

She is survived by her step-father, Jack Huggins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Otis and Betty Dyer, Arthur and Norman Dyer, Lee Roy and Mary Huggins all of Dalton, GA, Davie and Jackie Dyer of Calhoun, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Gwyneth and Tommy Miller of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Miss Barbara Grace Dyer will be held Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Roy Gentry officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
