Brenda Faye Whitus

Mrs. Brenda Faye Whitus, 63, of Nashville, Tenn., departed this life Friday morning, May 23, 2008, at her home.

Brenda was born June 17, 1944, in Etheridge, Tenn., a daughter of the late Arthur and Vesta Travis Dickey. She was a member of the Charlotte Heights Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Mable and T.R. Row of Resaca, and a brother, Bryant Dickey.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Tommy Whitus and mother-in-law, Mrs. Frances Whitus, both of the home; daughters, Tonia Johnson and Sonia Thompson, both of Kingston Springs, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Margie Dickey of Dalton; grandchildren, Thomas Johnson, Joshua Thompson, Deanna Thompson; great-grandchild, Aileigh Johnson.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Brenda Whitus will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in Woodland’s Dignity Hall. Visitation will be held today and Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Woodland-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tenn.
