Coldwater Creek Store to host ‘Try It On for the Cure(R)’ to benefit Chattanooga Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R)
Ladies, for one day only, all you have to do is try on great clothes.
That’s the simple idea behind national women’s apparel retailer Coldwater Creek’s fundraising program, Try It On for the Cure, which benefits the local affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and their vision of a world without breast cancer.
On Sunday, April 20, Coldwater Creek stores nationwide will donate $1 to the local affiliate of Komen for the Cure for every shopper who tries on their clothes in the dressing room at a Coldwater Creek store. And no purchase is necessary. However, for every purchase made, the company will also donate 10 percent of the event sales to Komen.
Try it On for the Cure is a terrific example of how people can get involved in the breast cancer movement in a fun and meaningful way.
Backing the local affiliates is nothing new for Coldwater Creek. Their programs focus on raising funds that stay right here in the community. In 2007 Coldwater Creek donated over $316,000 to local affiliates. Whether it is participating in the local Race for the Cure or hosting benefit fashion events in their stores, like Try It On for the Cure on April 20th, the purpose is always to give back to the community.
