Helen Weaver

Helen Weaver, 71, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar H. and Edith M. Black; sons, Charles A. “Chuck” Goodrum and Richi Thomas Goodrum; sister, Joyce Yother; brother, Gary Black and great-granddaughter, McKenzie Goodrum.

She is survived by a daughter, Deidre E. Wilson of Dalton; sisters and a brother-in-law, Pat Womack of Dalton and Edwina and Parmalee Ward of Blairsville; brother and sister-in-law, Edgar “Eddie” Jr. and Sherida Black of Summerville; grandchildren, Stephanie Evans, Zachary Goodrum, Lexi Wilson, Levi Wilson, Travis Stepanek and Brittany Stepanek; great-grandchildren, Naveah Goodrum, Alivia Evans, Chandler Evans, Alyssa and Richi Howard and Aubrey Stepanek.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Helen Weaver will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Curtis officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the service hour at 4 p.m.
