U.S. Rep. Tom Graves, R-Ranger, today praised our nation’s veterans for their sacrifice and commitment to protect America and advance freedom throughout the world.

“From the days that Washington led our men across the Delaware to our brave soldiers engaged in battle in Afghanistan, our armed forces have been the supreme fighting force in the world and continue to be a shining beacon of freedom and liberty across the globe,” said Rep. Graves.  “It is my honor and privilege to represent the Veterans of the 9th Congressional District of Georgia”

Veterans Day serves as a powerful reminder of how our nation’s liberty and justice has been preserved by the dedication of our armed forces.  Today pays tribute to all American veterans who have served our nation.

“Today, I hope you all will join me in expressing our deepest gratitude to the men and women who have served their nation honorably in war and in peace. I also offer my prayers and support to those who are currently deployed and their families here at home. We are still a nation at war – a reality that thousands of Americans face every day, including many here in the 9th District.”
