Tracey Crawley

Tracey Crawley came to the Whitfield County Engineering Department with no experience in that area.

It didn’t take her long to catch on, says co-worker Jonathan Wells, who successfully nominated her as Whitfield County Employee of the Month for August.

“Tracey came to our department in November of 2014 with no experience in engineering/planning,” Wells explained. “She not only mastered her training very quickly, but also has striven to identify areas where she can improve and has self-trained in many of these areas.”

Wells said that Crawley consistently goes above and beyond her job expectations to help make sure that the Engineering Department runs smoothly.

“The tasks that Tracey works on are always completed on time, if not early, and are of high quality,” he said. “Tracey often assists her co-workers in prioritizing tasks regarding pending permit applications, pending complaints and other functions related to projects and plans. A willingness to be ‘in the game,’ so to speak, or be a team player, is one of Tracey’s great assets.”

Crawley has improved the department’s correspondence by using her administrative skills to compile, review and organize data and legal documents, such as contracts and reports, that are sent to government agencies, contractors, firms and others.

She’s also serving as chair of the county’s 2016 United Way fundraising campaign this fall.

To help local residents get to know her better, Crawley filled out the following questionnaire.
