Fort Mountain State Park Manager Brad Ballard was honored with the “Manager of the Year” award by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The award was presented during the Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites annual conference.
Ballard was selected for many reasons, including leadership strengths, staff training of future managers, budgeting and social media marketing. He also completed National Cave and Rescue Commission training and volunteers as a CPR/first aid instructor. According to his region manager, Joe Yeager, “Brad can share his knowledge with staff and still treat others with respect. This is a valuable skill that has benefited the park and entire division. Brad has an easygoing personality and extensive knowledge.”
