Scoggins foursome takes golf tourney

The team of Derek Scoggins, Warren Ollis, David Watts and Ryan Long captured first place in the Georgia Sheriff’s Mountainview Golf Tournament on Friday at Indian Trace.

Twenty-eight teams participated in the tournament.

Bryant Cochran, Randall Winkler, Brett Morrison and Mark Barker took second place.

Third place went to John Meadows, Lester Rampy, Danny Owen and Blake Brindle.

Kermit McManus won closest to the pin on No. 2 while Bill Rich won on No. 5, Bryant Cochran on No. 11, Ronnie Knight on No. 16 an Ken Gowin on No. 18.

Kathy Welch won longest drive for women on No. 9 while Ryan Long won on No. 8 and Grant Starnes on No. 14.
