Hannah Duffie, a sophomore varsity golfer at Dalton High, was selected by the Georgia High School Golf Coaches Association to this year’s Class 4A All-State girls team.
Duffie, who was the low medalist at this year’s Region 7-4A tournament as she helped the Lady Catamounts win a second straight championship, finished third at the Class 4A state tournament, where her 79 was nine strokes off the individual champion.
Duffie, who finished second among individuals at last year’s region tourney, was one of 11 girls chosen for the 4A team. She was the only local female golfer chosen for the lineup, which is picked by coaches from around the state.
Northwest Whitfield’s Jordan Black, Chris Gordon and Justin Jolly were chosen for this year’s 4A All-State boys squad, as previously reported in The Daily Citizen.
