Camps and clinics
• Coach K’s 2016 Summer Camps, hosted by Dalton State College soccer coach Kerem Daser continues with its second session running Monday through Thursday. The session is a day camps running 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day at the Ronny Nix soccer complex and includes a T-shirt and lunch. Cost is $125. Session three is a strikers/keepers/speed/ID camp from June 13-16 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Lakeshore Park. Cost is $60. Session four is another day camp from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 20-23 at Ronny Nix soccer complex. Cost is $125. Session five will be a strikers/keepers/speed/ID camp June 20-23 at Lakeshore Park. It runs 5:30-8:30 p.m. and cost is $60.
• Nob North Golf Course will host its annual junior clinch every Wednesday through July 27, except for July 6. The clinic runs from 9-11 a.m. and is for ages 7-17. Cost is $150. For more information, call (706) 694-8505.
• The Dalton High School Lady Cats Basketball Camp will be held Monday through Wednesday from noon-4 p.m. in the Dalton Middle School gymnasium. Cost is $50 and the camp is open to all girls entering kindergarten through eighth grade in the fall. The camp fee includes instruction, games and a T-shirt. • The Coahulla Creek baseball camp will be held Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m.-noon. The camp is open to kids six years of age through eighth grade. • The Dalton Catamount baseball camp, for rising 1-9 graders, will be held Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m.-noon at the Dalton High School baseball field. • The Tony Ingle National Champion basketball camp is June 20-22 at ChristChurch Presbyterian. The camp is from 9 a.m. to noon each day and is for boys and girls ages 7 to 15. Cost is $75. The camp includes daily fundamental work on ball handling, passing and shooting. There will also be strategy drills and 5-on-5 and 3-on-3 games. • Frank Pinson will host a basketball skills clinc from June 22-24 at the Mack Gaston Community Center at 218 N. Fredrick St. in Dalton. The camp is open to boys and girls in grades 3-9. • Registration is open for the 2016 Coahulla Creek basketball camp. The camp will be from June 27-30 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. each day at the Coahulla Creek High School gymnasium. Cost is $50 and includes a T-shirt and lunch for each camper. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. on June 27. Head coach Matt Legg will oversee the camp and training players for the upcoming season. Tournaments and events
• VersaCourt presents a one-day 3-on-3 basketball tournament on June 18. The tournament will take place at the VersaCourt facility in downtown Dalton. Prizes will be awarded in each of four divisions: top flight men (18 and older), recreational men (18 and older), recreational women (18 and older) and youth/teen (ages 8-17). Cost is $100 per team.
