Level-UP is starting its second session of the year on Monday, June 3.
Level-UP is a 10-week leadership development program “designed to effectively awaken existing leadership potential in the community’s youth,” according to program organizers. With trained and licensed professionals, Level-UP commits to equipping youth leaders with lifelong skills to implement in their communities, schools, jobs and social networks.

The program cost is $50 and is targeted towards middle and high schoolers.
If you are a parent, friend, counselor and/or family member, and you believe in the existing potential of a young person, enroll him or her in Level-UP. A parent/youth information meeting is Thursday, May 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Mack Gaston Community Center.
The program also needs additional mentors who commit to 45 minutes each week. Mentors will attend a two-hour training seminar. If you are interested in being a mentor or enrolling a young person and would like more information, call or text Audrey Simmons, assistant manager of the Mack Gaston Community Center, at (706) 463-2414.
