Second Amendment sanctuaries among topics at Whitfield County Republican Party’s Tuesday meeting

The Whitfield County Republican Party’s monthly meeting is Tuesday at the group’s headquarters, 515 Benjamin Way, suite 304. The gathering begins at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments and the meeting starts at 7.
The New Year starts with guest speakers who bring expertise on one of the top issues facing conservative Americans today — the right to bear arms and Second Amendment sanctuary municipalities and/or counties.

Tyler Martin and First Sgt. U.S. Army (retired) Ron Thurman “will inform the group of the threats to our freedom to bear arms given to Americans in the Constitution and options to protect those rights,” according to event organizers.
“Presently, there is a movement across this nation to remove and/or reduce our rights regarding this issue,” event organizers said. “There is also a movement to protect those rights. Reportedly, 12 states have designated Second Amendment sanctuary counties or municipalities. Will we be the first county in Georgia to move towards the protection of what the Constitution freely provides? Come to the meeting, listen and decide.”
James Dashler will share about the AARP Smart Driver Course and the savings and safety benefits it can provide.
