Northwest Georgia Family Crisis Center receives Mohawk Carpet Foundation Awards grant

The Northwest Georgia Family Crisis Center has received a $14,500 grant from the Mohawk Carpet Foundation. The purpose of the crisis center is to end violence in the home by providing shelter, advocacy and support to survivors while working in the community to change attitudes, beliefs and behaviors.
“Our agency is honored to have once again been chosen as a recipient of this award from the Mohawk Carpet Foundation,” said Katora Printup, crisis center executive director. “The continued support that our agency receives from the Mohawk Carpet Foundation is greatly appreciated. These funds will assist our agency in continuing to provide quality services to victims of domestic violence.”

The Northwest Georgia Family Crisis Center provides emergency services 24 hours a day/seven days a week to victims of domestic violence. The crisis center’s primary service areas are Gordon, Murray and Whitfield counties. The crisis center is a partner agency of the United Way of Northwest Georgia.
