DHS Players to present original revue

The Dalton High School Players will present an original student-written, directed and produced musical revue titled “Tapestry of Dreams” on Friday, Jan. 31, and Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m. in the DHS theater. The show is a fundraiser for the DHS Players, who will be attending the Georgia Thespians Conference in Columbus Feb. 6-8.
Written and directed by International Baccalaureate Theatre student Cole Cooper as an independent project for his IB Theatre class, the show follows the story of Walt and Grandma and their search for the origins of stories and storytelling, and features several lesser-known songs from Disney movies and television shows.

The talents of 20 DHS Players are showcased in the cast of “Tapestry of Dreams,” including Morgan Hurlock, Dylan Spaulding, McKinley Kersey, Jacob Byerts, Linda Olvera-Jones, Bethany Southerland, Eliab Simon, Maria Perez, Emmy Vong, Asya Harper, Austin Rogers, Sarah Forberger, Brooke Schlisner, Reyd Mahan, Sabino Herrera, Monica Hernandez, Raymundo Moncayo, Autumn Harless, Josh Grimes, Austin Rogers and Megan Robertson.
Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Dalton High School Drama Club and the Dalton High Players.
