Hamilton to offer free heart health assessments

During February, American Heart Month, Hamilton Medical Center will offer free heart health information and assessments at various locations in the area.
The assessments will include cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure checks at each location. Two of the events will include a vascular screening.

The Dalton and Chatsworth events are scheduled for:
• Tuesday, Feb. 11, 9 to 11 a.m. at Dalton City Hall, 300 W. Waugh St.
• Friday, Feb. 14, 9 to 11 a.m., Dalton-Whitfield Senior Center, 302 Cappes St. (vascular screening also available)
• Monday, Feb. 24, 9 to 11 a.m., Charles “Judy” Poag Murray County Senior Center, 820 G.I. Maddox Parkway, Chatsworth (vascular screening also available)
Participants may register to win a heart health basket valued at more than $200.
“During Heart Month, we want to remind everyone to take care of their hearts,” said Rachel Ogle, marketing outreach manager. “We hope you’ll take advantage of one of our free assessments to get an idea of how your heart is doing.”
