Did you know the Northwest Georgia Regional Library System offers tablets for children, called Launchpads? The Georgia Public Library Service provided 2,800 Launchpad learning tablets to public library systems across Georgia.
This was done as part of the $2.3 million Governor’s Emergency Education Relief funds awarded by Gov. Brian Kemp. The funds are intended to support learning recovery initiatives and programs.

The Launchpads are pre-loaded with applications and games encouraging language and literacy development. The tablets range from Level 1 Pre-Emerging to Level 5 Independent. They include subjects such as satellites, force, constellations and more. Each tablet has 10 learning apps chosen around a theme and can be checked out for one week.
They are available for checkout at any of the three Northwest Georgia Regional Library System branches, Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library, Chatsworth-Murray County Public Library and Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library. Just drop by and ask the staff. Most will be located behind the front desk.
