Calling all first- through fifth-graders. The Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library announces its first After Hours Slumber Party. We will watch a movie, play games and provide pizza and yummy snacks. Pajamas, blankets, sleeping bags and stuffed animals are all welcome.

The After Hours Slumber Party will be on Saturday, Feb. 22. This free event is open to first- through fifth-grade students only. At 1:45 p.m., parents will drop off their child at the library and sign a consent waiver. Pickup will be the same day between 4:45 and 5 p.m.

Children will enjoy the fun and joy of a slumber party without the sleeping-over part. This event is perfect for children who have always wanted to have a sleepover with their friends but maybe aren’t ready to spend a whole night away. We’ll start the event with icebreaker games and a quick rundown of the rules and regulations. We’ll then choose a movie to watch and eat some yummy snacks, popcorn and pizza. Afterward, we’ll keep the fun going with sleepover games and crafts.
