Nourishing Your Spirit through the Journey of Cancer Seminar to be in Chattanooga

Memorial Health Care System will sponsor a free seminar on Tuesday, August 10, as part of the Strong and Smart: Living Well With Cancer seminar series.

Participants can learn, from the comfort of their homes or offices about the importance of caring for the spirit when facing cancer on August 10 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time. To register for the free one-hour educational event, call 800-278-7837.
Nourishing Your Spirit through the Journey of Cancer is part of the dial-up seminar series. Participants listen to medical experts via phone, view presentations on their computers and have an opportunity to ask questions.
The August seminar will cover:
· The importance of hanging on to hope
· Ways to draw on your spirituality
· How to nourish your spirit

Nourishing Your Spirit through the Journey of Cancer will be presented by Theresa Gregoire, board certified chaplain at Penrose-St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs, Colo.
“The Strong and Smart series is a resource for cancer survivors, patients and their families,” said Joe Robb, executive director of Cancer Services at Memorial. “The topics are specific to issues they are facing, and they can ask questions of an expert. They may also connect with others facing the same challenges, and they can do it all without leaving home.”

The Strong and Smart: Living Well With Cancer dial-up seminar series is presented by Memorial Health Care System. This education series is offered in collaboration with other Catholic Health Initiatives hospitals. A goal of the series is to make education and information more readily available to a greater number of cancer patients in our community.
