Hamilton Medical Center (HMC) will celebrate its volunteers during National Volunteer Week, April 23-29.

As part of the activities for the week, HMC will hold a volunteer recruitment event on Tuesday, April 25, in the main HMC lobby from 2 to 4 p.m. Cookies and lemonade will be served. Information on volunteering will be provided, and those who fill out an application at the event may register to win a prize.

“We have great volunteers at Hamilton Medical Center.” said Gay Ann Talley, volunteer supervisor. “Our volunteers are some of the most amazing individuals, and we appreciate them for all they do.”

There are 15 spots for teens to volunteer through the HMC Summer Teen Program. It runs from June 1 to Aug. 4. Applicants should be at least 16 years old and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must commit to serving eight out of nine summer weeks. If interested, submit an application at hamiltonhealth.com/volunteer by Friday.

To learn more about volunteering at HMC, call Talley at (706) 272-6147.
