News brief: American Legion plans ‘Extravaganza’

American Legion Post 112 holds an “Extravaganza” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, at the Post, 1118 N. Glenwood Ave.

“It’s all about food, fun and family,” Commander Lee Oliver said. “There will be games and entertainment with hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings. We are looking forward to a really special time.”
This fun-filled event is free for members who have paid their 2018 dues, $3 for those who join during this event and $6 for nonmembers. There will be an all-you-can-eat meal, inflatables, bean bag toss and many other exciting activities.
The American Legion plans activities and events all during the year for its members and its success depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism.
