Scouting for Food drive upcoming

It’s almost time for the annual Boy Scouts of America Scouting for Food drive.

Beginning Saturday through Friday, Feb. 7, there will be a Troop 22 donation box in the lobby of the Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library at 310 Cappes St. in Dalton to receive donations of nonperishable food items from patrons.

On Saturday, Feb. 8, representatives from Troop 22 will be on the parking lot sidewalk of the Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library at 100 N. Park Ave. in Calhoun from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to collect donations of nonperishable food items from anyone who wishes to drive by and drop off contributions. The scouts will also be happy to fetch donations from patron’s vehicles.

All donations will be taken to the Voluntary Action Center in Calhoun on Feb. 8 after the 2 p.m. closing.

Troop 22 is sponsored by Calhoun First United Methodist Church.
