Area holiday closings

• The City of Dalton Public Works Department will be closed to observe the Thanksgiving holiday Thursday and Friday.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday garbage and recycling will be collected on their regular days.

Thursday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up Tuesday. Friday’s garbage and recycling will be picked up Wednesday.

• All Whitfield County offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

• The City of Varnell will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. The city trash truck runs Friday for the holiday week. For more information, call (706) 694-8800.
