Here are the notes and news items from the week in pro wrestling: Injured Rey Mysterio hopes to be healthy enough to compete in Wrestlemania next month.

• Well, thanks to the Sunday rainout of the Daytona 500, John Cena wasn’t able to start the race by waving the green flag.

In matches from last Saturday night: Alex Summers defeated Ricochet; Will Force outlasted Joey Idol, Da Bill and Tiffany in an Action Zone showcase match; James Eden and Dakota Outlaw No. 1 downed HCP 2.0; The Playmakers topped Ray Fury and Zero; The Returning Randy Watkins downed John Bishop; Toy Dodson retained the Southern Title with the help of Da Bill over Josh Vaughn.

TWA Friday Night Brawl runs at 8 p.m. at the TWA Arena off Reed Road in north Whitfield County, about three miles north of the bypass. The TWA Action Zone runs at 8 p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets for all shows are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12; senior citizens 60 years and older with proof of age will be admitted for $3. Kids younger than 6 are admitted free. Any military member with proper identification will be admitted free. If it’s your birthday, you will be admitted free.

Dixie Championship Wrestling (DCW) “Sunday Showdown” kicks off at 3 p.m. Sunday at 313 E. Morris St. in Dalton. Featured wrestlers include: All Star, Brother Fusion, Tommy Gage, Matt Gilbert, Keith Hart, Risk Taylor, Texas Outlaws and Torque. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for teenagers and $3 for kids. There will also be live bands playing.
