Boggs pitches in MLB playoffs

Dalton native Mitchell Boggs got his first taste of the Major League Baseball playoffs on Wednesday night.
Boggs pitched a scoreless eighth inning for the St. Louis Cardinals in their loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers. In his one inning of work, Boggs didn’t give up a hit, walked two and struck out one. The Dodgers beat the Cardinals 5-3 in the first game of the five-game series. The series continues tonight in Los Angeles.
In the regular season, Boggs pitched 58 innings, with 33 walks and 46 strikeouts while compiling a 2-3 record.
