Williams has played football for the Cougars for the last two years. He also plays travel football with the Chattanooga Crush football team, which were runners-up in the National Championship Battle of Rocky Top in Knoxville last weekend in the 14-under division.
The Diamond Bowl selects players from around the country who hold at least a 3.2 grade-point average who have attended a Junior Rank combine. Williams will join the other participants in a week of activities, including playing in the all-star game at Camp Verde High School in Tempe and attending the Insight Bowl on Dec. 28., as participants in the Diamond Bowl will be recognized at halftime. High school selections will also be tested in a combine.
