* If you have a tournament, registration, camp, meeting, tryout or other local sports event you’d like to have listed, we will include it at no cost in our Local Sports Calendar, which is published every Sunday in The Daily Citizen. The calendar is also posted online at www.daltonnow.com. To be included, information must be submitted by noon Friday. Send your information to sports@daltoncitizen.com. Content may be edited for length.

Clubs, teams, leagues

* Registration is now open online for Dalton Parks and Recreation Department baseball and softball. Registration can be done online at www.mydprd.com. There will be six different age groups: 4- and 5-yea-old T-ball, 6-year-old machine pitch, 7- and 8-year-old machine pitch, 9- and 10-year-old machine pitch, 11- and 12-year-old live arm (any 10-year-olds who want to play live arm can sign up for this year) and 13- and 14-year-old live arm.
