• Christian Heritage 7, Fellowship Christian 2: Tyson Cooper broke open a tied game in the sixth inning with a bases-loaded triple that plated three runs and pushed the Lions ahead. Christian Heritage (3-7) added two more after that in the sixth to seal the win.
Zach Gentry had three hits with a double and a pair of singles, and drove in a run. Avry Thomason and Darryn Pasqua each had a pair of hits and produced RBIs on the day.

Pasqua got the win pitching 3 1/3 innings in relief, allowing one hit while striking out four. Gentry started the game going 3 2/3 innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits while striking out a pair.
• Dalton 15, Cass 2: The Catamounts’ offense exploded in a Region 7-5A win. Cole Shelton, J.P. Tighe and Sam Stepp all had 3-for-3 days at the plate. Stepp doubled and drove in five runs, matching the high total for any area player this year. Shelton had a home run, his third of the year, and drove in four runs. Tighe and a double and three RBIs.
Also for Dalton (10-2, 6-1), Harrison Norman and Maddux Houghton added RBIs and Vinny Vega picked up a double.
Shelton was the winning pitcher throwing a five-inning complete game. He gave up two unearned runs on five hits and struck out six.
BOYS SOCCER
• Dalton 6, Cass 0: Churrui Huitanda matched the area’s high out put for goals in a game this season finding the back of the net four times in the Cats Region 7-5A win. Justen Macias tacked on the other two goals as Dalton moved to 8-0.

• North Murray 4, Ringgold 1: The Mountaineers improved to 2-3 overall and in Region 6-3A with the victory. Winners for North Murray were, in singles, No. 1 Reese Thomas 6-0, 7-5, No. 2 Colby Cochran 6-2, 6-2 and No. 3 Brady Tallent 7-6, 6-2. The No. 1 doubles team of T.J. Jones and Chandler Keith won 6-1, 7-6.
• Creekview 3, Dalton 2: Dalton dropped to 6-6, 2-3 in Region 7-5A with the loss. Wyatt Cushman won the third singles match 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 and the No. 1 doubles team of Bennett Wills and Sam Goetze won 6-2, 6-3.
• Christian Heritage 3, North Cobb Christian 2: The Lions got their first Region 6-A win of the year. The deciding win came from No. 3 singles Morgan Elrod who won in three sets 6-3, 5-7, 7-6. Also for the Lions (4-4, 1-2), Cal Paige won at No. 1 singles 6-3, 7-6 and the No. 1 doubles team of Heath Hardaway and Will Duddleston won 6-1, 7-5.
GIRLS TENNIS
• North Murray 3, Ringgold 2: The Lady Mountaineers (2-3, 2-3 in 6-3A) swept both doubles matches to take the win. Doubles winners were No. 1 Lyric Burgess and Hannah Blackwell 6-0, 6-1 and No. 2 Tori Henderson and Savannah Smith 6-1, 6-3. Third singles Hannah Patterson picked up a key three-set win (6-4, 4-6, 7-6) to give North Murray the win.
• Christian Heritage 4, North Cobb Christian 1: A singles sweep fueled the Lady Lions’ Region 6-A win. Claudia Brumlow won the No. 1 match 6-1, 6-4, Autumn Cress won second singles 6-2, 6-2 and No. 3 Elizabeth Dean won 1-6, 6-0, 10-4. The No. 1 doubles team of Morgan Branam and Baleigh McAllister picked up a victory 6-2, 3-6, 10-6.
Christian Heritage improves to 6-3, 2-1 in region.
• Creekview 4, Dalton 1: The Lady Cats (8-4, 4-1 Region 7-5A) dropped their first sub-region match of the season. The lone win came from the second doubles team of Mary Turner Renz and Olivia Tidwell 6-2, 6-4, 6-0.
BOYS GOLF
• Northwest Whitfield 163, Southeast Whitfield 176, Rome 183: Tate Higgins took medalist honors with a 38 at Stonebrige Golf Course in a three-team match in Rome. Other scorers for the Bruins were Adrian Clark 40, Cole Roberts 42 and Elliot McBrayer 43. Southeast was led by Ty Pendley’s 39, followed by Matt Cleary 44, Logan Silvers 44 and Jeff Davis 47.
TRACK
• The Northwest Whitfield girls took first place in a meet with Coahulla Creek and Dade County. The Lady Bruins got firsts from Aspen Tinson in the 100 in 13.68 seconds, Catlin McCarver in the 100 hurdles (19.53), Kayleigh Fitzgerald in the 400 (68.0), Ashley Sweeney in the 3200 (13:41) and the 4×100 relay team of Chloe Medlen, McCarver, Tinsen and Julie Ogle (56.74).
The Bruin boys took second in the meet. Jay Jones and Anthony Rittenhouse each picked up three firsts. Rittenhouse won the 400 in 53.0 and Jones took the 110 hurdles in 17.03. Both were part of the winning 4×100 and 4×400 relays. In the 4×100, the duo teamed with Will Blanchard and Luke Shiflett to win in 45.7. In the 4×400, Jones and Rittenhouse teamed with Jager Hughes and Isreal Cotto to win in 3:51.0.
Also, Blanchard won the 100 (11.35) and Hughes won the 800 (2:15).
JV GIRLS TENNIS
• Northwest 5, Coahulla Creek 0: The Lady Bruins (1-2) swept past the Lady Colts. Singles winners for Northwest were No. 1 Sruthi Gireeshkumar 8-0, No. 2 Isha Mittal 8-3 and No. 3 Lexi Quinton 8-1. Doubles winners were No. 1 Allison Roy and Madison Williams 8-1 and No. 2 Haley Hughes and Aleah Holliday 8-0.
• Northwest 4, Coahulla Creek 1: The Bruins (2-1) swept the singles to beat the Colts. Singles winners for Northwest were No. 1 Lane Delay 8-0, No. 2 Adrian Rios 8-4 and No. 3 Avery Shepard 8-3. Northwest’s No. 1 doubles team of Kyle McCutcheon and Blake Bryson won 8-6, while Coahulla Creek’s No. 2 doubles team of Slater Stevenson and Drew Irwin won 8-6.
JV BOYS SOCCER
• Southeast Whitfield 2, Northwest Whitfield 0: Luis Alvarez and Leo Rangel had goals for the Raiders. Ivan Sanchez and Augustin Herrera picked up assists. Ricardo Servin earned the shutout in goal.
JV GIRLS SOCCER
• Southeast Whitfield 1, Northwest Whitfield 0: Jenny Zamora scored the game’s lone goal. Alexandra Chavez and Mandy Tran combined in goal for the shutout for the Lady Raiders
JV BASEBALL
• Dalton 11, Northwest Whitfield 1: The Cats topped their neighboring rivals on Friday. Jack Ridley had a pair of hits and drove in two for the Cats. James Rogers went 3 for 3 and drove in a run. Jaret Staten doubled, tripled and drove in a run, Yendry Cruz singled, doubled and had an RBI, and Davison Reynolds had two singles and an RBI. Jager Dickson, Zach Lance, Philip Shealy and Chandler Starks added RBIs.
Starks was the winning pitcher.
