MACON — The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Honors Court has selected eight new members for the state’s athletic Hall of Fame. They include Super Bowl champions, an Olympian, great amateur athletes, legendary coaches, gritty overachievers and pioneers among sport in the state of Georgia.

The class of 2017 is: Georgia Tech and Atlanta Falcons football player Keith Brooking; University of Georgia golfer Laura Coble; longtime Georgia tennis coach Manuel Diaz; Griffin High School and University of Tennessee football player and Olympic track athlete Willie Gault; Georgia Tech basketball player Matt Harpring; Georgia football player Garrison Hears; Georgia athletic leader/golf coach Liz Murphey; and football player and Atlanta native Jeff Saturday.

The class will be honored in Macon on Feb. 25, 2017.
